Member Group Guide
« on: September 01, 2009, 09:17:23 AM »

For the most part, Pagan Journeys views its members as being equal, no matter where they are on their path.  We do, however, have a few things in place in an effort to prevent spam and to reward those that participate often.  We do that through our member groups.  This is a little guide as to what those groups are and what they can and can’t do.

Validating:
This group is the group you are in when you first join.  You have limited access to certain board features such as profiles and the PM system.  You also cannot view signatures or attachments.  This group is in place solely to prevent spammers from flooding our forum and eating up bandwidth.  You will remain in this group until you have made 5 posts.

Newbie:
Once you reach this level, you have full access to the forum.  You can customize your profile as well as send and receive PMs.  You may view signatures, attachments and forum stats.  You are limited to storing only 25 PMs.  You will remain in this group until you have made 50 posts.

Apprentice:
This group has the same access as Newbie.  The only difference is that you get more storage space for PMs.  You may store up to 50 PMs.  You will remain in this group until you have made 500 posts.

Journeyman:
As a Journeyman, you have all the same access as Newbie and Apprentice with one additional benefit.  You can now change other members’ Karma.  You also have more storage space at 75 PMs.  You will remain in this group until you have made 1500 posts.

Master:
This group has the same access and privileges as Journeyman.  Your storage space is 100 PMs.  You will remain in this group until you have made 5000 posts.

Expert:
Expert is the highest member group level.  This group has the same access and privileges as Journeyman and Master with a storage space of 150 PMs.

I'd like to add that making a slew of posts just to increase your post count to try and get to the next level is frowned upon, violates the TOS, and may earn members a warning. ;)
